Omicron Protocol is an “intra-apocalyptic”, cyberpunk-themed squad-based miniatures board game for 1-4 players, where you control a squad of unique characters and a 3rd party enemy to harass your opponent, or play solo/cooperatively as a team to fight enemies, complete objectives, and survive!
Thinking back across the universe of boxed skirmish games, I have to say that Omicron Protocol is among the best that I've played in terms of giving you a full game out of the box.

In the year 2050, the utopian city of San Lazaro was crippled by a mysterious virus. Quarantined and cut off from the rest of the world, the survivors band together in order to escape the city before they, too, succumb to the infection. The only things standing between you and salvation are rival factions looking to accomplish their own mysterious goals amid this chaos — and the CyMS (Cyber-Memetic Sociopaths), once-ordinary people who have grown maddeningly violent and unpredictable due to the virus.
Competitive play, team based play, cooperative play, solo play... I've been playing Omicron Protocol for months and I've barely scratched the surface. I love it!

There are times when you are just itching for a head to head fight and Omicron Protocol gives you the chance to beat on violent virus-laden humans and evil gangs in the streets of San Lazaro. Grab the nearest weapon and go!

Select faction(s) and Scenario
Each faction is composed of unique characters with a variety of skills and abilities to overcome the challenges of each scenario.
Activate Characters
Perform movement, attacks, and abilities against CyMS or an opponent. Or try to achieve scenario objectives!
Activate CyMS
CyMS are activated by Electro-Magnetic (EM) Noise. After each character activation, the CyMS will activate to interfere with your progress or even KO a character!
Spawn More CyMS
CyMS spawn throughout the game. After all characters have activated, more CyMS will show up based on the EM Noise generated during the round.
Score Victory Points
There are multiple ways to score: complete scenario objectives, knockout CyMS, or KO your opponent's characters. Score higher than your opponent, or the scenario's goal to WIN!
A deep and rewarding squad tactics game. Very reminiscent of games like X-Com in the best possible way.
